General

The guild accepts applications for initiate candidates on the recommendations of any full member (a sponsor) as well as by people applying. In both cases, the process is the same: the applicant fills out an application form. We accept a certain number of applicants per week as initiates.

Accepted initiates will be assigned a mentor, a full member responsible for introducing the initiate to other guild members and ensuring that the initiate is familiar with our ethics, rules, and web site. See Guild Recruiting

After a month period (to the closest Friday), Guild Officers will decide on whether an initiate should be promoted or not to full member. Guild Officers will do this on the basis of comments from full members of the guild in a special discussion thread (TBA) and input from the initiate's mentor. Guild members may comment on whether the initiate "fits" with the guild in terms of personality, playing style, and representation of our ethics. The initiate will either be passed to full membership after the month period or will be given an extension of two weeks. If the initiate isn't promoted to full membership status at that time, we will reluctantly bid the initiate goodbye and wish them good luck.

The initiate/mentor process is overseen by our Minister of Initiates, Kariandra. At his discretion or the discretion of the Guild Officers, an initiate may be removed before the end of the initiate period.

The trial end date corresponds to the Friday closest to when the Guild Officers will decide on whether to promote the initiate to full member. The newest candidates are listed at the top. The status of older initiates can be found on the Initiate History page.
